Welcome to St Thomas with St Stephen.

Church of England logo

We are an Anglican church in the triangle formed by the Balham, Clapham South and Streatham Hill railway stations in southwest London. Our vision is to worship - celebrating our faith, to encourage belonging - building a community of hope and to grow in our blessing - transforming our community with the love of God.

We hold a variety of services each week at both of our church buildings; St Thomas' and St Stephen's. Every Sunday, you can find us at 9.30am at St Thomas' and 11.00am and 7.00pm at St Stephen's. On the first and third Sunday of each month, we have Teatime Praise at St Thomas'. Every Wednesday at St Thomas', we have Prayers & Bears. All are welcome to join us at any of our services.

Please take a look around our website to see some of what we get up to. If you would like further information, please contact the church office.

Summer Services

There are a few changes to our regular services over the summer:

Sunday morning services will continue as normal at 9.30am at St Thomas and 11.00am at St Stephen. We are starting a new sermon series on encounters with Jesus in John's gospel - looking at the way Jesus changed people's lives. Sunday school activities are available for children.

The usual Sunday evening services won't be running, but on 27 July we are holding an informal evening service at St Stephen's at 7pm. It will have a simple format of band-led worship, testimony, teaching and prayer ministry, with curry and drinks afterwards! And we may run this again on 31 August - watch this space!

Teatime Praise will be running only on the 1st Sunday of the month - on 3 August at 5pm at St Thomas.

The last 'normal' Prayers and Bears of the term is on Wednesday 30 July at 10.00am at St Thomas. But do come to our first P&B summer picnic on Wednesday 20 August - we will meet at 11.00am for P&B and then stay on for a picnic lunch afterwards.

You are very welcome to join us at any of our services.

Peru Team

On 1 August our team leave to spend a month in Peru, working with the local church in a poor area two hours south of Lima. This is the fourth time a team from STwSS will have been to support the people in this place, in a project set up by the charity Latin Link through our Mission Partners Paul and Ruth Turner.

Read more about the team on our Mission Trips page, follow their updates on their Latin Link team page, and donate at my.give.net/Peru2014.
