STwSS HAS got talent!
STwSS HAS got talent!
17 May 2009—...and in what variety and skill! We are an amazingly gifted group of people. People took their talents, used their imaginations and got to work! From the start, when far too many people paid for the Vicar to be pied, we knew this campaign would go well.
Lemonade and marmalade, cards, plants, fairs, sales of work, the Big Swish, musical evenings and coffee mornings, cakes galore, valentine meals and breakfasts, cream teas and murder mysteries, envelopes and photographs, art and mosaic classes, lodgers and friends, embroidery and children’s clothes, bridge and raffles—Winston even ran a raffle on his retirement night for all his colleagues—a swim in the North Sea in February, and that’s just a start!
A big thank you to all who have taken part. £1,600 was taken in total, and has been turned so far (when the Gift Aid is reclaimed) into a magnificent
£5360
Well done to everyone! We’ve done far better than the parable! (They merely doubled their sums!)
If you haven’t returned your money or haven’t yet finished—it is not too late—we just wanted to let you know what an amazing people we are and how generous in our giving of time and money!
This is a magnificent start to the Sprint for Home, the last part of our appeal for St Thomas’ so we can bridge the gap and find the final £120,000 to complete phase one.
