In August 2009, STwSS sent a STEP Team with Latin Link to La Florida, Peru for the second year running. They worked under the direction of pastor Juan Carlos with his local church in this dry and desert area, two hours south of Lima.

Part of the project was to begin to build the next part of the feeding centre begun by the team in the previous year. The vision is to provide a proper meal for local children each day. Also, the team did much children’s and youth work, took church services, worked with local women, as well as joining in with outreach to local areas with no church.
