Mission Partners
STwSS supports a number of mission partners with our prayers and a 15% tithe of our donated income. Some of this tithe is also used to support church members who want to undertake short-term mission activity. In recent years we have supported students on gap-year projects with overseas mission and development organisations, as well as the STEP Team projects in Peru.
Mike and Brigit Adams
Mike and Brigit Adams work with the Far East Broadcasting Association (FEBA) and live in Frome, Somerset. FEBA operates a number of radio stations, which broadcast the gospel to areas where people have little or no other Christian contact.
Matt and Saffron Grandage
Matt and Saffron Grandage have been serving in China since 1999, and have been partners with STwSS since 2005. They are staff workers with an international, interdenominational Christian organisation working in central and western China.
Robert Musgrave & Providence House
Providence House celebrated 50 years of working in Battersea in February 2010 and Robert Musgrave has been Youth Worker there for over 35 years.
Ruth and Paul Turner
Ruth and Paul Turner live in Arequipa, Peru, working with Latin Link. Ruth (née Kirkpatrick) had been a mission partner with us for a number of years before her marriage to Paul in September 2009.
Keith and Joyce Wood
Keith and Joyce Wood have a long association with St Thomas with St Stephen, as Keith grew up in Balham. Keith and Joyce work with Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF) as Regional Directors, living near Watford. This involves helping to select, interview, train and send candidates to work in Asia in many different spheres.
Step Team 2009
In August 2009, STwSS sent a STEP Team with Latin Link to La Florida, Peru for the second year running. They worked under the direction of pastor Juan Carlos with his local church in this dry and desert area, two hours south of Lima.
